Catherine's genese takes place back in highschool. Since we had a such bad time being comfy in class, our chairs barly holding together, we were asked, as an actual art project and for the sake of our backs, to conceptualize some kind of seat. My answer was a huge conical piece of cardboard upon which I cast a cheap piece memory foam, becoming the most comfortable thing I experienced in my life. Catherine is both an homage and a redesign of this beloved memory.
